This software can read digitized data which is generated by Optical Power Meter. Originally the analyzer acts as an optical power acquiztion device. With this we can see the analog value of light power(dBm) or Watt(mW) on computer screen. The software I made is to get digitized data via RS232(Serial port).

Formula : dBm = 10 log ( actual power(P2) / .001watt(P1) )
General dBm values :
+20dBm=100mW
+10dBm=10mW
+7dBm=5mW
+6dBm = 4mW
+4dBm=2.5mW
+3dBm=2mW
0dBm=1mW
-3dBm=.5mW
-10dBm=.1mW

Notice : This software is specified for RS232 Digital Converter which act as sending digital data continuously. And also the data has RTX and ETX bit for denote the data is start or finish. Therefore it cannot be used for all of RS232 port applications. If you would like to know the receiving method, please don't hesitate sending me E-mail.
